Defendant was served with unlawful detainer for residing in his deceased fathers home by the deceased spouse. The deceased left the home to his biological children. The respondent had 5 days notification prior to the court appearance. The respondent requested for an extension of time to retain counsel due to two of those days being over the weekend and he was seeking legal counsel for assistance. Judge Corbin refused to allow respondent to do so depriving him of property aka DUE PROCESS. Judge corbin then ordered respondent to vacate the premises within 5 days of the final order. Shortly after, the petitioner then filed a restraining order against the respondent. Respondent attended court to which he was not allowed to contest the restraining order even though the petitioner admitted their was never threats and wished the respondent would have just talked to her. The judge extended the TVRO long enough so that respondent couldnt appeal the judgement on the property from the prior case.
